Drivers of Karting Arena Zagreb at the Sodi World Series International Competition

The city of love hosted the international finals of the Sodi World Series this year. The world’s largest go-kart competition was held in Paris at the Racing Kart de Cormeilles track. The best 300 amateur karting drivers from 44 countries, divided into five categories, measured their speed during four days of competition.

The specificity of this year’s SWS race is the first edition of the Women’s Cup in which the French representative Janyce Da Cruz finished on the throne. The winner of the Sprint Cup is the Polish Adam Szydlowski, the first place in the Kid Cup was won by the Slovenian Nejc Kosenina, while the champion of the Junior Cup is the Belgian Dario Pemov. The best team in the Endurance category was the French Joker Team.

Croatian representatives, the best drivers of the Zagreb Karting Arena, also performed at the recently held SWS final. The special feature of this year’s competition is that Croatia was represented in all competition categories for the first time.

The representatives of the Junior Cup were: Vinko Jellačić and Jakov Madirazza, the representative of the women’s cup was Klara Madirazza, while Dominik Orešković and Mikola Benić drove in the Sprint category. Filip and Mirsad Begović, Berislav Kovačić and Matija Hanževački also participated in the Endurance group as Interceptors.

Furthermore, it was revealed that the host of the final SWS event in July 2023 will to be Slovakia, and the Slovakia Ring track was also chosen.
